Graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2012 from Frontier Nursing University
Sat for the national certification exam by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) in July 2012
License by the State of TN as a certified nurse-midwife (CNM)
Member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)
Advocate and strong supporter of VBAC
Alicia is interested in opening a free-standing, non-profit birth center in the Chattanooga area
She is the mother of three children.

Jennifer Mercer – CNM
Works as Certified Nurse Midwife at Caring Choice Women’s Center
Received her master’s degree from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing
Prior to becoming a nurse-midwife Jennifer worked as a labor and delivery nurse in Chattanooga.
She also taught childbirth education classes for eight years as a Lamaze certified childbirth educator
She has provided support for countless women during childbirth as a labor doula.
Jennifer has a special interest in adolescent health and prenatal education.
She is married and is the proud mother of three sons.

Michelle Ray – CPM-TN
Active in birth work for 9 years as a Doula and as an apprentice for five years.
Sat for the national exam for the North American Registry of Midwifery in 2009.
Currently licensed with the state of Tennessee.
elected Vice President of the Tennessee Midwives Association in 2010.
Works for Journey Midwifery Services offering prenatal, birth, and postpartum care for homebirths in the Chattanooga area.
Married to husband Chris with three wonderful girls whom she is homeschooling, Michelle balances her midwifery work with the work of raising a family.
